Munir Hassan
Munir Hassan is Head of the Energy & Climate Change Group at international law firm CMS. With over 800 lawyers, the group is one of the largest of its kind globally. Munir advises on all aspects of energy and climate change matters, particularly renewables projects to energy networks, and designing markets and regulated frameworks. He has over 25 years of experience advising corporates (such as technology companies, real estate portfolios, life sciences and consumer products companies and others) on the Energy Transition, providing advice that balances commercial needs with the need to progress towards a sustainable energy future. Munir is the editor of “Wind: Projects & Transactions”, “Power: A Practical Guide”, the Renewable Energy Law Review 2023, the CMS Renewables Guide covering over 40 jurisdictions and a number of other specialist publications. He is also the Chair of the Energy Committee of the City of London Law Society.
